What We Need

Hey, guys! So if you haven't checked your e-mail, Dave canceled class today. That being so, was there anything we were planning to talk about in order to finish our storyboards? Maybe the color pallet for our panels? I just don't want us to get behind. Have a good day! :)

  1. posted above are a couple boards i threw some color on . i used complimentary colors but didn't go out of my way to add any shading, i like the way they look.

As far as color goes, i think using one set of complimentary colors might get boring, but i don't think it should change from panel to panel. should we change the scheme based on the dynamics of the scene?

    what do you all think?

  2. Color is all about setting the mood, which is similar to lighting. Here's an example of a color script of a student from Art Center.

I wouldn't mind taking on the responsibility to color, if we're breaking up jobs. Or are we splitting up the scenes accordingly? I think that's something we should figure out.

  3. Also, there should be a balance of hot and cool colors throughout the script. For example, you'll use hot colors for climatic scenes, or something of the sort. If you take a look at Aladdin, most of the movie is cool until the points of extreme conflict, in which there's a hotter dominance in color scheme.
